Sometimes it’s hard to identify what links are legitimate and what links are suspicious. Here is a list of things you can do to check if they are legitimate without clicking on them:
1. Hover over the link and check the domain name looks legitimate
2. if it is a shortened link, there are online tools you can do to type the link in and find it’s final URL without clicking it (checkshortURL.com)
3. The link was in a random email from a uncommon email address
4. The link has loads of strange characters in it
5. Consider logging a second opinion Malware Scanner
6. Scan the link with a link scanner
